Belleville, NJ-born and raised author Anthony Buccino's stories of the 1960s, transit coverage and other writings earned four Society of Professional Journalists Excellence in Journalism awards. He published five essay collections, three military history books and four photo colections.

The writer, editor, and photographer writes with clarity and humor in his verse and columns about growing up in the second half of the Twentieth Century. He has been called “New Jersey’s ‘Garrison Keillor’ ” or something to that effect,’ when that was a good thing to be called.

Buccino edited business news for 12 years at Dow Jones & Co. and The Wall Street Journal professional web pages. He worked for several years as an associate editor at TheStreet.com. He has written in online publications about life and growing up in northern New Jersey. For five years he wrote about commuting and transit in metro New York-New Jersey.
